Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton’s most “shouty” debate yet last week, it would be remiss if internet staple Bad Lip Reading didn’t take a crack at it. This time they spiced things up by bringing in a segment called “Time to Act,” in which Senator Sanders mimes out everything from “you just ran over your neighbor’s dog” and “prostate exam” to “your hand is a baby bird and your fingers are the beak.”





Meanwhile Hillary tries to tell a story about a hitchhiker from New York who she met in Hawaii years ago, but Bernie quickly interjects to sing about juggling balls in bed. While I can’t speak for the actual debate, I think it’s pretty obvious that Sanders is the clear winner here. SOURCE

Deaf News: Here’s how to say ‘Donald Trump’ in American Sign Language.



The Washington Post: Only the most colorful politicians get special names in sign language assigned to them by the Deaf community, everyone else’s names are finger spelled, one letter at a time.



Sign language users have proposed name signs for two of the current presidential candidates, but they haven’t really caught on yet, says Melissa Malzkuhn, co-founder and a developer of The ASL App, which teaches conversational American Sign Language in the United States.

Deaf journalist Charlie Swinbourne also known as The Limping Chicken, editorially of the United Kingdom’s independent Deaf News and Deaf Blogs website as well as being a journalist and an award-winning scriptwriter. Swinbourne writes for the Guardian and BBC Online, and as a scriptwriter, penned My Song, Coming Out and Four Deaf Yorkshiremen.



Swinbourne published the article ‘The 10 annoying habits of hearing people’ went viral and broke all records on this site, a number of people wrote in asking the editor when they would be doing a Deaf Version.



At first, Swinbourne dismissed these suggestions – Deaf people aren’t in any way annoying, are they?



But then some of The Limping Chicken readers (most of them DEAF) sent in their suggestions for what our irritating habits might be, and Swinbourne started to realise that maybe hearing people don’t have a monopoly on being annoying Deaf people have their moments as well. Bad Lip Reading have been quiet recently, their last YouTube video parodying American Idol, but today they returned with another reimagining of The Walking Dead, this time focusing on season 5.

This video is a spoof dedicated to Paul and Tina Sirimarco, a hearing couple who created a viral video using ASL - "You're the one That I Want" from the musical Grease in ASL and have taken the internet by storm.



Performance done by two Deaf and American Sign Language (ASL) users of Clearwater, Fla., The audio in background is a man talking on a news radio station and the Deaf couple are signing/signing to a mix of two different songs from Frozen.



The Deaf couple, also known as their 5-year-old daughter KODA Girl In Kindergarten Holiday Concert signing at elementary school that went viral last year which after the outcry of a "fake" sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's memorial.

NEW YORK CITY - 'Saturday Night Live' kicked off its John Goodman-helmed episode with President Obama (Jay Pharoah) lamenting the "series of unfortunate events" that happened at the memorial for Nelson Mandela.



First of all, there was that selfie with the Danish Prime Minister, then the handshake with Raul Castro ("He told me he was Edward James Olmos,") and finally, the sign language interpreter who didn't appear to know sign language. Naturally, after mentioning him, Thamsanqa Jantjie (Kenan Thompson) appeared behind the POTUS and proceeded to "loosely" interpret the rest of the speech.



Most importantly, 'SNL' reminded us that lost amongst all the hoopla were the feelings of poor Angela Merkel, he never got her selfie with Obama, even after he spied on her.





An SNL interpreter skit is making people laugh all across the United States of America this week, as SNL decided to make a parody of the #fakeinterpreter who made off-key signs at the memorial service following the recent death of Nelson Mandela. The video is swiftly making the rounds online over the debacle, and viewers are saying that it’s crazy to think that this spoof really isn’t that far off the mark of what really happened with the schizophrenic sign language “expert” last week.



The SNL interpreter skit comes at a time that many citizens across the globe are still mourning the tragic loss of Nelson Mandela, but both the Deaf and others were recently shocked at the real-life debacle of what happened with the sign language interpreter at the peaceful man’s memorial service. Thamsanga Jantjie says he has gone to School Specialized for the Deaf and is skilled in the use of sign language, but the South African actually used bogus signs throughout the service.



Now, Jantjie is adding that he suffers from schizophrenia, and during the speech, the dubbed fake interpreter was having insane visions of flying angels coming into the stadium, preventing him from signing properly. The scene "The Cochlea Implantation" (performed by the Deaf actors Horst Dittrich as the father and Reinhard Grobbauer as the son and Werner Mössler as the doctor" shows a cochlea implantation real ironically. It is a real question, the cochlea implantation could be helpful.



On the way of an operation the return to the "hearing world" is technically possible. But the way of operation is not helpful for the Deaf society.





What happens to operated Deaf people, which are living now with a cochlea implantation but without a better result of hearing? They are not integrated in the "hearing world" and the Deaf world, they damaged psychological and physical. In such a situation the cochlea implantation destroys Deaf society.
