As one Gallaudet offical told Emily Shire at The Daily Beast: “Our students are more likely to go somewhere on campus and report assault than go to a hospital because they have direct access to someone who speaks American Sign Language.”

I told him I am not interested, he asked me why I put my status "single" on my facebook profile. I told him I really don't want to join... After he saw me to make a vlog in DVTV. He notified to YouTube for removing my vlog. Ken made a post and saying ugly thing about me. Ken's supporters left ugly messages under his post against me. My friends left messages under his post, he unfriend them. My friends did not do anything wrong, they told him that Karen aren't interested to join Deaf Single Online. I guess Ken wanted to run business with DSO. It costs $10 for become a member of DSO. no thanks... I know it is not safe. -Mermaid Karen.

"I got News from a person. Their message is: I know Ridor9th well since many years. I hate him very much because he is very crazy and big liar to fool us being deaf and deaf world. He needs to go to jail because I feel not safe if many deaf people believe him being big liar because they don't believe me. That is why he is sicko, crazy, and theft. He stole my money I met him in Virginia a long ago. He almost raped me because he harassed sexual too much to bother me and other boys when I was 20s years old. Virginia hates him then he moved to New York then New York hates him then he probably moved to Frederick Maryland now. I dont understand why cant his sister stop him being troublemaker? A terror of oppression and audism at West Tennessee School for the Deaf (WTSD), which state-operated elementary school for Deaf children ages 2 to 13 from throughout west Tennessee in Jackson.
Regarding to the terrbile story that the Deafies to pay the visit at WTSD, all of suddenly the staff's rude attitude toward a deaf visitor and discriminated ASL users, and kicked out for no reason. However, a vlogger felt an insulted from the WTSD staff members and decided to posted a vlog.
Deafies should make effort to visit Deaf schools when we travel to some states. Good reminder to all of us. We need to watch out for red flags so we can stand up and protect Deaf children. The Deaf community agree with vloggers that there is something wrong with that school. The way how they treated Deaf visitors is quite alarming because if they showed no respect for you as a Deaf adult then their treatment to Deaf children could be far worse.

VIDEO: About National Association of the Deaf and Dennis Daugaard in American Sign Language.
The purpose of this vlog is to explain everything regarding Deaf people's response on National Association of the Deaf (NAD) for making a bad pick by inviting the Governor of South Dakota. This vlog also will include the transcript so that hearing people & Deaf people who does not know ASL will be able to understand why many Deaf people are protesting about the bad pick which NAD, so far, hadn't addressed this issue.
Here is the transcript of the 25-minute long vlog: The National Association of the Deaf was founded in 1880 in response to the Milan Conference of 1880. Why? The International Congress on Education of the Deaf was held in Italy. All delegates except for one at ICED were hearing. They voted to support the oral education and banned the use of sign language for Deaf children at any deaf schools. The result is that many Deaf teachers lost their jobs at many Deaf schools across this country as it also messed up Deaf Education. This was the Dark Ages for Deaf people. NAD was established to protect the Deaf people's voice, civil rights & American Sign Language. Wonder why the NAD is not strong like the National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)? NAACP was able to have the access to media and make a difference in many people's lives, why can't the NAD have that as well? That part is a long story that will explain why NAD is like that but first, I want to focus on history of NAD.
16 years after NAD was established (1896), there was first woman to serve on NAD Board. Is it awesome? Does it means that NAD is progressive than the rest of the United States since women were allowed to vote in 1920? No, it is not true. That position has no-voting power. Their duties are focused only on social issues, events, morals, childbearing, child care - these are women's duties. They cannot get involved on Education, Civli Rights & Law with the rest of male-dominated NAD Board. When the 19th Amendment was ratified into the United States Constitution in 1920 to grant all women the right to vote, NAD still did not permit its Deaf women to vote until 1964!
44 YEARS!! Why? Maybe the NAD resisted this change because they were wary of hearing people due to the devastating effects of Milan Conference. Then a year later in 1965, African-Americans (both men & women) were allowed to join the membership of NAD. As for GLBT individuals, NAD finally included them not a long time ago roughly about 10-15 years ago. Really, NAD was aware that there were many Deaf GLBT individuals but they chose not to recognize the GLBT individuals for decades. Now the GLBT people will have its first-ever Luncheon at 2012 NAD Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. NAD hosts biennial national conferences held in different cities across the country. For many years, the NAD Board as well as its Region I, II, III, IV Board tend to be populated by Deaf people with college degrees. For many years, NAD's growth was hindered due to low contributions, most likely because many Deaf people lost their jobs after the infamous Milan Conference of 1880. They slowly raised the funds for decades and finally has a permanent home in Silver Spring, Maryland. They also established the Youth Leadership Camp as well. They added little by little to strengthen the organization. As of now, NAD will have its conference in Louisville. This conference's theme is ...
Every two years, NAD tends to select a theme that will reflect on its conference. This year, in Louisville has this theme, "Nothing About Us, Without Us". This conference is expected to be the largest one in history because NAD is partnering with Kentucky Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH)'s famous & popular event called DeaFestival. That DeaFestival is extremely popular with Deaf people who does not have college background, averaging several thousands of spectators from many states. This is an opportunity for everyone to capitalize on touching important issues at the conference.

VIDEO: 'No Church in the Wild' After a video publication, the articles on the internet was met with a strong reaction from the ASL-speaking community.
Many members of the community have objected to the video on the grounds that it features incomprehensible signs.
Numerous Deaf people of the community finds quite interesting the hot debate about the mistake and nonsense of the music in American Sign Language videos in these days.
Therefore, one of a video from YouTube was something an awkward, maybe even the worst music ASL ever and confused alot of Deaf people who watched Mark Nakhla's "No Church In The Wild - JAY-Z & Kanye West" ASL Music Video.
Mark Nakhla's ASL video is the worst since as similar in the hearies world refered "Rebecca Black's "Friday" Music Video" the worst music video of the century... anyway, back to the ASL issue, a music ASL video that Deaf people as native ASL users barely unable to understand the dudes sign language amateurs are now under fire a horrbile ASL, which is completely different than signs in a signed language, we only see thier gestures.
Signing these dudes claimed that they used ASL to interpret the song of a video which expert ASL teaching consultant saying that it confused alot of Deaf people who watched this. Mark Nakhla's video.
Last a few weeks ago, Sir Paul McCartney just released a music ASL video for "My Valentine" - Featuring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp in which a video was under fire for major mistake for flubbing a few wrong gestures. Signing tampon instead of appear and enemy instead of valentine. A rep for the British Deaf Association says It would have been nice if genuine Deaf people had been used. However, this video clip is only for American Sign Language, not for British Sign Language.

Last a few weeks ago, Sir Paul McCartney just released a music ASL video for "My Valentine" - Featuring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp in which a video was under fire for major mistake for flubbing a few wrong gestures.
